Ph.D. - Physics
University of Tennessee
May 2009 (maybe!)

Currently working on manganites and YCBO superconductor.  Using a combination of techniques (neutron, soft X-ray, etc) to determine local structure.

Technically a Doctoral Candidate, but that was before I switched groups, so I'll need to update at some point...

M.S. - Applied Physics
University of South Florida
May 2004

Thesis topic : Phase imaging digital holography for biological microscopy

Basically, I used a digital camera to take holographic pictures of biological samples and reconstructed them numerically to obtain z-axis data

B.A. - Physics
University of South Florida
May 2002 (cum laude)
Honors College

Honors thesis topic : Science for Success - a case study

Analysis of a program I was involved in.  The program goal was to work with the same group of students in a public school each week, and see if the hands-on teaching techniques we employed made any measurable difference in the students' test scores on the FCAT.  Short version : not really.
